Relationships and communication

Relationships and communication

Relationships and communication are part of every aspect of our lives. It has certainly happened to all of us to feel uncomfortable in a relationship. Starting psychological counselling can help you to better understand your relationships and your communication style, helping you to unblock situations that may have become rigid over time and can lead to suffering.

Challenging and blocking situations

Challenging and blocking situations

Many people start psychological counselling precisely because they find themselves in difficult situations, where they may feel stuck or experience a lot of suffering. There are many situations in life where we can feel alone or where pain becomes overwhelming. These are situations common to many of us, such as divorce, a loss, difficulties in one's work or training path, difficulties in meaningful relationships. Psychological support can help you to better understand where you are, what mechanisms are in place, how to take care of yourself and those around you, and to discover alternative paths.

Sexuality

Sexuality

By sexuality we mean something certainly complex that includes not only a physical but also an emotional and relational aspect. It is a very important sphere of well-being for all of us that is not always easy to understand and experience.

LGBTQIA+

LGBTQIA+

What does it stand for? Acronym for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and + (intended to include all other forms of sexual orientation or gender identity not represented by the previous letters). There are many other acronyms we could use. It is certainly common to have doubts about one's sexual orientation, relationship, romantic or gender identity, or to experience difficulties communicating about these issues with others. Opening up with a psychologist can help us explore not only ourselves but also us in relation to others or to a social context with which we are confronted on a daily basis.

Challenging thoughts

Challenging thoughts

Can we stop thinking? It is very difficult to stop our mind and sometimes the constant stream of thoughts can be a source of suffering. There are thoughts that we have repeated to ourselves so many times that they now seem to be the only possible truth. Through psychological counselling you can learn techniques that will help you deal with these automatic thoughts in different ways and look at them from different perspectives.

Feeling good at work and preventing Burnout

Feeling good at work and preventing Burnout

On average, work takes up one third of our day. Feeling good in our work space is crucial to our well-being as is finding a work path that meets our needs and is right for us. If work is causing you chronic stress, fatigue and significantly impacting your mood, talking to a professional to regain your balance can be a crucial step. Burnout is not often discussed in Italy, yet it is a state of distress that it is important to recognise in order to take care of oneself.

Psychological support for expats

Psychological support for expats

Being an expat is not always easy: one often leaves one's country of origin to pursue opportunities, such as studying, working or relationships. Living abroad certainly means opening up to new contexts, new ways of doing things and new situations. This can be stimulating but sometimes also very complex. I worked several years in Brussels, offering psychological counselling to expats both online and face-to-face. Are you abroad and would you like to start online psychological counselling? Do you live in Trentino and would like an appointment in the studio? Contact me by email.
